CLASS OF 2017 PRO-STYLE QUARTERBACK RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Kasim Hill, Washington (D.C.) St. John’s College (Up 1 spot)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Chris Robison, Mesquite (Tex.) Horn (Down 1 spot)

COMMENTS: Although many of the top pro-style quarterbacks participated in winter all-star games, the position sees very little movement. Hill and Robison swap spots in the top five after small moves for both prospects. Michigan commit Dylan McCaffrey comes over from the dual-threat quarterback ranking and takes over the No. 7 spot in this ranking, but those are the only moves in the top 25.

DUAL-THREAT QUARTERBACK

CLASS OF 2017 DUAL-THREAT QUARTERBACK RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Keytaon Thompson, New Orleans (La.) Landry-Walker (Up 6 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Ryan Kelley, Chandler (Ariz.) Basha (Down 3 spots)

COMMENTS: The No. 1 spot on this list remains in the hands of Texas A&M commit Kellen Mond, who finishes as the only five-star dual-threat quarterback in the class. Thompson, a Mississippi State commit, earns a spot in the top five after his bump. Kelley and TCU commit Shawn Robinson lose their spots in the top 10, while Oklahoma State commit Jelani Woods and Virginia Tech commit Hendon Hooker move up to the top 13.

ALL-PURPOSE BACK

CLASS OF 2017 ALL-PURPOSE BACK RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Khalan Laborn, Virginia Beach (Va.) Bishop Sullivan (Up 1 spot)

NOTABLE DROPPER: None

COMMENTS: As one of the six new five-stars in the final Rivals100 update, Florida State commit Laborn also ascends to finish as the No. 1 prospect in this ranking. He overtakes USC running back commit Stephen Carr, who sits just outside of five-star territory himself. That move accounts for the only change at the all-purpose back position, and the ranking finishes with a top 10.

RUNNING BACK

CLASS OF 2017 RUNNING BACK RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: T.J. Green, Chandler, Ariz. (Up 7 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Cordarrian Richardson, Memphis (Tenn.) Trezevant (Down 9 spots)

COMMENTS: The top five remains unchanged, with overall No. 1 Najee Harris and overall No. 3 Cam Akers finishing as Nos. 1 and 2 in this ranking. Richardson’s drop and Tennessee commit Ty Chandler’s slight rise to No. 6 account for the only changes in the top 10. That movement allows Oklahoma commit Trey Sermon to crack the top 10. Green, an Oregon State commit, earns his fourth star in this update and finishes in the top 25.

FULLBACK

CLASS OF 2017 FULLBACK RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Chase Lasater, Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian Academy (Up 1 spot)

NOTABLE DROPPER: None

COMMENTS: The final edition of the fullback rankings for the 2017 class sees Lasater and Virginia commit Jamari Peacock swap spots at the end of the top five. That is the entirety of the changes in the small fullback ranking. LSU commit Tory Carter finishes as the top prospect in the ranking followed by Alonzo Booth, who remains uncommitted, and Nebraska commit Ben Miles.

WIDE RECEIVER

CLASS OF 2017 WIDE RECEIVER RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Henry Ruggs, Montgomery (Ala.) Robert E. Lee (Up 10 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Nico Collins, Pinson (Ala.) Clay (Down 8 spots)

COMMENTS: After hanging around the top of this list from the beginning of the 2017 class rankings, Michigan commit Donovan Peoples-Jones finally ascends to the No. 1 spot on the list. Clemson commit Tee Higgins also moves up among the five-star receivers, but just misses out on the top spot and finishes No. 2. The lists did lose a five-star, with Joseph Lewis dropping from No. 3 to No. 7 in this ranking.

TIGHT END

CLASS OF 2017 TIGHT END RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Charles Reeves, Steubenville, Ohio (Up 16 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: None

COMMENTS: Three tight ends finish in the Rivals100, including a pair of Notre Dame commits in Brock Wright and Cole Kmet. There were only two changes in this update of the position ranking – Texas commit Reese Leitao nearly cracked the top 10 after he earned his fourth star and moved up from No. 16 to No. 11. Reeves, a Pitt commit, lands just behind Leitao at No. 13, and he also earns his fourth star in this cycle.

OFFENSIVE TACKLE

CLASS OF 2017 OFFENSIVE TACKLE RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Alex Leatherwood, Pensacola (Fla.) Washington (Up 4 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Tony Gray, Lawrenceville (Ga.) Grayson (Down 6 spots)

COMMENTS: The top of the offensive tackle ranking is almost completely made over. Leatherwood jumps from No. 5 to finish as the No. 1 player at the position and top five overall nationally. Just behind him at No. 2 is Stanford commit Walker Little, who also jumped five spots and ranks in the top 10 overall. Five-stars Foster Sarell, Isaiah Wilson and Jedrick Wills round out the top five, while former five-star tackle Josh Myers moves out to the offensive guard position.

OFFENSIVE GUARD

CLASS OF 2017 OFFENSIVE GUARD RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: CJ Thorpe, Pittsburgh (Pa.) Central Catholic (Up 7 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Netori Johnson, Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove (Down 2 spots)

COMMENTS: A pair of Rivals100 prospects in Josh Myers and Austin Deculus move into the offensive guard rankings from the offensive tackle position and take over spots in the top three behind five-star Ohio State commit Wyatt Davis. Thorpe, a Penn State commit, also finds a spot in the top five after his big move. Further down the list, Alabama commit Kendall Randolph lands in the top 15 after he also moves in from the offensive tackle ranking.

CENTER

CLASS OF 2017 CENTER RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Will Taylor, Loganville (Ga.) Grayson (Up 3 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: None

COMMENTS: Michigan commit Cesar Ruiz jumped up to a 6.0 Rivals Rating and improved 36 spots in the Rivals100, but had nowhere to go in this ranking as he was already No. 1. Taylor, a Duke commit, used a strong week at the Under Armour All-America Game to earn a spot in the top three of this ranking. The rest of the list remains unchanged from the post-senior season update.

WEAKSIDE DEFENSIVE END

CLASS OF 2017 WEAKSIDE DEFENSIVE END RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: K’Lavon Chaisson, Houston (Tex.) North Shore (Up 8 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Jarez Parks, Sebastian River, Fla. (Down 5 spots)

COMMENTS: This top 10 features three players who increased their Rivals Ratings and one that dropped. Chaisson makes the biggest move but lands just outside the top five. Michigan commit Luiji Vilain cracks the top five after his bump, while Ohio State commit Chase Young remains in the top five and earns his fifth star. Florida State commit DeMarco Artis makes the highest debut at No. 36.

STRONGSIDE DEFENSIVE END

CLASS OF 2017 STRONGSIDE DEFENSIVE END

NOTABLE RISER: Jacob Callier, Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco (Up 2 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: LaGaryonn Carson, Texarkana (Tex.) Liberty-Eylau (Down 8 spots)

COMMENTS: Iowa commit A.J. Epenesa went wire-to-wire as the No. 1 player in this ranking, and he finishes with an exclamation point as he earns his fifth star. The only movements in the top 10 were the result of Carson and Robert Porcher dropping in the rankings. That allowed for Texas A&M commit Jayden Peevy and Kentucky commit Joshua Paschal to finish in the top 10 for the position ranking.

DEFENSIVE TACKLE

CLASS OF 2017 DEFENSIVE TACKLE RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Phidarian Mathis, Monroe (La) Neville (Up 18 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Akial Byers, Fayetteville, Ark. (Down 15 spots)

COMMENTS: Five-star Marvin Wilson finishes No. 2 overall and No. 1 in this ranking after a strong Under Armour Game performance. Washington commit Marlon Tuipulotu makes a positive move for the second straight update that earns him a spot in the top 10. Mathis’ move also allows him to crack the top 10. Further down the list, Oregon commit Rutger Reitmaier earns his fourth star after a good showing in the Army Bowl.

INSIDE LINEBACKER

CLASS OF 2017 INSIDE LINEBACKER RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Ellis Brooks, Richmond (Va.) Benedictine School (Up 3 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: David Adams, Pittsburgh (Pa.) Central Catholic (Down 10 spots)

COMMENTS: Oklahoma commit Jacob Phillips earns his fifth star in this update, but stays at No. 2 as he just misses out on overtaking Michigan commit Jordan Anthony for No. 1 on this list. Texas A&M commit Anthony Hines also finishes in the top three after he moves up one spot from No. 4. Further down the list, N.C. State commit Darius Hodge debuts inside the top 20 after earning a bump in his Rivals Rating this cycle.

OUTSIDE LINEBACKER

CLASS OF 2017 OUTSIDE LINEBACKER RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Willie Gay, Starkville, Miss. (Up 8 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Nathan Proctor, Indian Head (Md.) Lackey (Down 3 spots)

COMMENTS: Alabama commit Dylan Moses regains his fifth star but remains No. 2 on this ranking behind Ohio State commit Baron Browning. Gay and Texas native Levi Jones both make big moves into the Rivals100 and into the top 10 for this ranking. The rest of the moves on this list are further down, including Texas commit Marqez Bimage earning his fourth star and cracking the top 30.

CORNERBACK

CLASS OF 2017 CORNERBACK RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Justin Broiles, Oklahoma City (Okla.) John Marshall (Up 16 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Chris Ingram, Mooresville, N.C. (Down 6 spots)

COMMENTS: Penn State commit Lamont Wade has been in a battle to hold onto the No. 1 ranking at this position throughout, but a strong Under Armour game showing allows him to finish at the top ahead of fellow five-stars AJ Terrell, Shaun Wade and Darnay Holmes. Meanwhile, Broiles’ big jump after his strong Under Armour game showing earns the Oklahoma commit a spot in the top 10 after starting outside the top 20.

SAFETY

CLASS OF 2017 SAFETY RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Hamsah Nasirildeen, Concord, N.C., (Up 4 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: K.J. Jarrell, Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro (Down 8 spots)

COMMENTS: After five-stars Jeffrey Okudah and JaCoby Stevens at the top, there was a long discussion about the order of the deep group of 6.0 Rivals Rated prospects. In the end, the order stayed pretty close to where it was after the season, with Nasirildeen’s move up to No. 8 being the most notable change. Further down the list, Texas A&M commit Myles Davis earns his fourth star and a spot in the top 30.

ATHLETE

CLASS OF 2017 ATHLETE RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Jeremiah Holloman, Covington (Ga.) Newton (Up 10 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Jaylon Redd, Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. (Down 3 spots)

COMMENTS: After his rise in the Rivals100, Los Angeles’ Deommodore Lenoir overtakes Ohio State commit Brendon White for the No. 1 spot in this ranking. Most of the movement was further down the list, though, where Louisville commit Russ Yeast, Virginia Tech commit Caleb Farley, Georgia commit Holloman and Texas commit Montrell Estell each earn their fourth star and place inside the top 40.

KICKER

CLASS OF 2017 KICKER RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Anders Carlson, Colorado Springs (Colo.) Classical Academy (Up 2 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Brandon Ruiz, Gilbert (Ariz.) Williams Field (Down 2 spots)

COMMENTS: The winter all-star games are the first look at top kickers on the same field outside of national kicking camps, and this year’s events factored into significant movement in the top five. Georgia Tech commit Joseph Bulovas takes over as No. 1 after his clutch kicking in the Army Bowl. Carlson, an Auburn commit, is now No. 2, while former No. 1 Ruiz drops to No. 3.
