Uncommitted spotlight: Predictions on four Southeast prospects

We have entered the final days of the 2017 recruiting class, and the pool of uncommitted prospects is starting to thin out. Today we look at four who are still trying to make up their minds in the final days of the process.

Harley committed to West Virginia and waivered on his choice in spurts before recently announcing his decision to back off of his pledge completely. Miami has always been viewed as a major threat to the Mountaineers when it comes to Harley and it seems as though the threat has now manifested. Schools such as Florida and Nebraska are attempting ot get involved with Harley, but the smart money is on the Ft. Lauderdale product staying in South Florida.

Prediction: Miami

A one-time Ole Miss commit, Gay has been back on the market for some time. He’s flirted with a number of different schools but it seems as though Michigan and Mississippi State are the key players here. Gay is certainly a take for the Wolverines and there is certainly a chance that he lands there. His recent visit to LSU also imvolves a small level of intrigue. That said, either school will have to pull Gay away from the hometown school, which isn’t always easy in the state of Mississippi.

Prediction: Mississippi State

Robinson has liked Florida from the jump, but took a step back from the Gators when the program elected to slow play him in the fall. That said, things seem to be back to normal between the four-star wideout and the in-state school. Robinson took a number of official visits including ones to Ohio State and Oklahoma.

Prediction: Florida

Despite being ranked in the Rivals250 for nearly a year, Taylor hasn’t received the type of publicity that other recruits have garnered. But with LSU, Oklahoma and Auburn all battling for his services, there’s no doubt he’s well deserving of attention. Taylor kept a low profile following visits to all three schools and right now all three view him as an important member of the class. However, Auburn has been the one consistent in his recruitment and after getting the last official visit, the Tigers have the advantage.
